Make it memorable!
Including your dog in the wedding day is not a dream anymore. Brides all over the world are integrating their fur kids into the wedding planning by giving them important rolls as the ring bearer or flower girl. Last year we were Dog Attendant for Sofi and her humans in Vaughan, Ontario. She was the flower girl. From experience, we suggest you take a pick a these 6 Tips to Include Your Dog in Your Wedding Day.
{UNO} Share with the wedding planner your desire to have your dog taking part on the weeding. Confirm with the venue to be certain they will accept having a pet in attendance. Also, pre-screen wedding rehearsal locations to ascertain they will allow your pet as well.
{DOS} Sit down with us so we can understand your needs and create a customized plan for you, because every event is special and different. A check list and useful information will be provided during the whole process so no detail is left out
{TRES} We will want to meet your dog days before the weeding day. The least we want is for your dog to be like “Who is this one” on the big day.
{CUATRO} Have your dog practice the rehearsal with you, so he is familiar to the environment. Dogs are curious and when in a place for the first time they can be extremely distracted.
{CINCO} Inform your attendants that your pet will play a role, and discuss special measures you’d like them to take, like greeting him or getting him excited.
{SEIS} The day before the weeding, consider a grooming appointment so your dog looks his best at the wedding. We will assist you with dressing up your dog or adding any chic touches to his attire (e.g. bows, ties, flowers). Please keep in mind he shouldn’t wear any ornament longer than is necessary.
{SIETE} Last but no least, do not forget pets are like children…unpredictable. Choose wisely what roll your pet will play. If your dog suffers from being shy, nervous around people or any other behavioural problem, consider perhaps to include him in the engagement photos only.
