Today we are excited to feature Enzo celebrating with Dannielle & Frank weedding. The couple were married at the The Ancaster Mill and Enzo had a very special job as the ring security!
All about Enzo
Enzo is a super happy and energetic 3 year old English Bulldog. Enzo loves to play tug of war and his ultimate passion is eating cheese (any kind of cheese for that matter). Both Frank and I are avid readers and share a mutual love for the novel “The Art of Racing in the Rain” by Garth Stein. Enzo was named after the main character of this novel that happens to be a dog.
Why did you chose to have Enzo in our wedding?
Enzo is our first dog together and has plays a huge role in our lives. Since the moment Enzo entered our lives we have made a point to include him in as much as we can. He attends every family function, camping and cottage trips, and even just simple visits to see our families. It seemed only fitting to have him by our sides for one of the biggest milestones in our lives.
What was Enzo’s roll in the weeding day?
Enzo played the very important roll of ring security. He was escorted down the aisle with the bride’s brother-in-law and the groom’s sister-in-law to ensure he was well behaved.
Wiggly Bum’s roll with caring for Enzo
The Ancaster Mill was very accommodating with allowing Enzo be a part of the preparation before the ceremony and with the ceremony itself. However, because the venue is a restaurant Enzo was not able to stay and be a part of the wedding reception. We reached out to our dog walker at Wiggly Bum Dog Walking to assist us with the transportation and care of Enzo following the ceremony and picture taking. Before and during the ceremony the Bride’s brother-in-law (Bryn Ross) was in charge of caring for Enzo and transporting him to the hotel and then to the Ceremony site. After we had taken all of our photos that included Enzo, Schuyler from Wiggly Bum Dog Walking was waiting at The Ancaster Mill to transport Enzo back to our home. Once Schuyler had gotten Enzo back to our home she fed him his dinner and stuck around our home to play and keep him company while he napped from the very excited day he had.
Was Enzo a pat of the wedding favors?
With much thought and consideration we had chosen to make a donation to Homeward Bound Rescue rather than giving traditional wedding favors. We both feel strongly that the best gift we could give is one that helps our furry friends live longer, healthier and happier lives.
