Rain or shine the dogs need to go out for walks to keep them healthy, happy and balanced. As a dog walker during the summer hot days, my team and I spend about 6+ hours out with our packs.
You are probably wondering how we handle the warm weather. Proper clothing and plenty of water are a MUST, but that is not it. This year we started to use local handmade Chillin’ Neck Coolers!
Wendy, based in Richmond Hill Ontario started making Chillin’ Neck Coolers for herself as she often gets warm quickly when she walk/exercise outside. She knew they make and sell these in Australia but she could not find a retailer in Canada so she did some research and started making them for herself, friends and family.
Today Wendy sells them locally and she can also ship anywhere if anyone wants them. Recently Wendy started to make Neck Coolers for dogs by making some adjustments to her design to fit dogs with a buckle clasp and some cool canine designs!
To lear more about such a cool idea Wendy started a Facebook Page so anyone can see the Chillin’ Neck Coolers and view the 60+ colors and designs available! The Chillin’ Neck Coolers go for $8 and $10-13 for dogs (depending on collar size and can be custom made to suit dog)
Wendy also supports local charities. She was recently at a craft sale in Oshawa for Paws for a Cause where she donated $1 from every neck cooler and Dog Neck Cooler sold to Cuddly Cats Rescue and Sanctuary. Speaking of cats, Wendy also offers catnip pouches and kick stix toys for cats, donating one for every one sold.
