Giving your dog his meds doesn’t have to be a nightmare anymore! My younger boxer Chico suffers from allergies and it is a struggle to make him eat his pills. I tried it all: peanut butter, cheese, I even mix it with his raw food and yet he finds the way to eat it all but the pill *sigh* So when I was introduced to Zoe Pill Pops I knew I had to try them out with my little guy.
{THE PRODUCT}
Zoe Pill Pops are soft pockets in which you insert a pill so you can easily give your dog medication and they can also be feed as a treat. What I liked the most is the fact that they contain no corn, wheat or soy and consist of only 10 ingredients.
The Zoe Pill Pops is available in 3 flavours: Peanut Butter with Honey, Grilled Beef with Ginger {this is the flavour I used with Chico}, and Roasted Chicken with Rosemary.
The Zoe Pill Pops are made in Toronto and currently available at PetSmart. We were told the Zoe Pill Pops will soon be available at Canadian Tire and your local pet speciality store.
{THE TEST & RESULTS}
As soon as I pulled out the bag from the kitchen counter, I had my two boxers sniffing the bag, which is a good sign because they tend to be picky with treats. When I opened the bag, I realized the treats come individually packaged in two. I was happy to see this because this helps to keep the soft pockets treats in shape.
Inserting the pill was easy. I gave Chico Benadryl for his allergies and the pill fitted perfectly in the soft pockets. By the time I was finished prepping, Chico had already drooled my kitchen floor!
Chico didn’t hesitate to eat the treat and this morning his stool was normal, which I was happy to see since he is sensitive when introducing new food or treats often getting the runs. The Zoe Pill Pops will definitely be a must have in Chico & Mylo doggie’s drawers.
